PLIADES workshop at ERF 2026

Data Spaces Beyond the Basics: Toward Operational AI and Robotics

The PLIADES project is pleased to announce its participation in the European Robotics Forum 2026 (ERF2026) with Workshop 56 titled:

“Data Spaces Beyond the Basics: Toward Operational AI and Robotics”

📅 25 March 2026
🕓 16:00–17:20
📍 Room: Synesvarden

Building on the foundations established during last year’s session, this follow-up workshop moves beyond conceptual discussions to focus on the practical integration, deployment and scaling of Data Spaces for AI and robotics driven applications across the Mobility, Industrial and Healthcare domains.

As Data Space technologies continue to mature, the discussion shifts towards operational readiness. The workshop will explore how early architectures and interoperability frameworks are evolving into real world demonstrators and deployable solutions, highlighting lessons learned and emerging best practices.

The workshop will explore critical challenges and opportunities, including:

Key questions addressed

  • What advanced cross domain applications are emerging through Data Spaces?
  • Which interoperability and scalability challenges must be addressed for real world AI and robotics solutions?
  • How can we ensure trustworthiness, explainability, distributed learning and data efficiency?
  • How can Data Spaces accelerate innovation for AI developers, robotics providers and end users?
  • What lessons can be drawn from early deployments and pilot implementations?

Intended outcome

The aim of this workshop is to explore the evolving benefits and practical impact of Data Spaces for advancing AI and robotics applications, foster productive discussions and exchange lessons learned that can guide broader adoption across Europe.

Speakers and structure

The detailed workshop structure, confirmed speakers and full agenda will be announced soon.
